Based on satellite images, wind data, webcam images, and notices from the Mexico City MWO, the Washington VAAC reported that on 29 January and 1 February ash plumes from Colima rose to altitudes of 4.6-6.7 km (15,000-22,000 ft) a.s.l.
and drifted as far as 145 km ENE, E, SE, S, and W.
Minor ash emissions were observed on 25 January.
